Oh wow…but only if it’s shocking pink. Nothing would be better than shocking pink, bought specifically so that Rodney can be bitter about the fact that he has to touch it but he can’t resist when John give him that stupid puppy dog smile and John’s a bastard really.
“It’s pink,” Rodney sniffed at it in scorn. John’s warm chuckle from the other end of the phone only served to irritate him more than he already was for having the package delivered to his desk at the SGC with a big “IBOD” sticker on it.
“Yeah, it was the only one I could find, they sold out quick,” he’s lying of course. Rodney knows from personal experience that John Sheppard lives to drive Rodney Mckay completely insane, a pink IBod is just another of the many psychological warfare tactics that are slowly wearing down on Rodney’s will to live, soon he’ll be buying puppies for orphans on the corner or something.
“…come on Rodney, it’ll be fun!” John prods him from 2 billion miles away in Nevada and who’s bright idea was it for John to go to Area 51 while Rodney needed to be here? Probably Jorgensen, the letch, he was probably dropping things all over the place for John to pick up.
“I’m not doing this,” Rodney protests but it’s a losing cause seeing as he’s already locked himself into the bathroom of his locked quarters the SGC assigned him.
“Of course you are,” John says and even though he can’t see him Rodney knows John is smirking his smug ‘I Win at Life’ smirk.
“Yeah whatever,” Rodney bitches ripping the box open.
Now I’m wondering how the i-phone upgrade sequel to The Rhythm Is Gonna Get You (Off) would go.
