I admit it: I flounced off of lj in a giant cloud of hate memes and not being able to understand why fandom had a tendency to foster giant piles of whores — but I knew I wouldn’t be able to leave lj entirely. I mean…everybody’s there. All my friends are there. How would I be able to comment on their stories and stuff if I like, went totally fandom wanky and deleted my lj?
But then there are days like this, folks, and people like this one, that really make me wish I’d hit that delete button and had been shamed into keeping away forever.

LJ is a pox on the intewebs, although rather more entertaining than Facebook or MySpace (possibly more to do with its age and our experience with it than any objective factors), but any medium which lends itself to such moronic outpourings of idiocy needs serious reconsideration.
