Ya’ll, I’m serious.

I could be cutting diamonds here with the magical freezingness of my tits.  And everybody who is reading this up in Canada or in North Carolina or places where I am not and your temperatures make sense to you can just go fuck yourself because I am freeeeeeezing.  Dear Gods of Seattle, please either magically warm it up 20 to 25º or for Jesus’ sake, GIVE ME A PARKA.  JUST RAIN DOWN A PARKA.

(PS, I know the tag reads “I do go outside you know” but really for this entry it should read “I do curl up under a fleece blanket and drink boiling hot coffee and cry softly you know.”)

(PPS, also, LJ, I ceded territory to you, acknowledging the higher power of your scads of crazy — leave me the hell alone.  Stop sending your nutbags into my email inbox.)

Welcome to the North! Shall we send you some sweatshirts? 8D

…I know you’re only joking? But I would literally kill for a super thick hoodie right now. …And a parka. or BOTH.

weather dot com says that it’s 54 degrees in Seattle, which is not too cold, right? Then I remembered that it’s SUMMER. I live in much the same type of climate (albeit a few hundred miles south) and it’s 58 here. And I was just thinking, ooh, it’s almost 60 degrees! So nice out, la la la. So yeah, you kind of get used to it.

    ::sends you a space heater::

At least your temperatures should be relatively stable. It was 92F here (Missoula, MT) three days ago and now it’s just about 54F. Anything above 40F means you can leave your coat at home. Welcome to the Northwest!

Sympathy, because I can’t stand cold weather either, especially damp cold. When I was in San Francisco for a week once I froze my ass off, and it was only September.

…Actually, it’s currently about 15 degrees (C) warmer in Canada right now than in Seattle. But I would gladly switch if only I didn’t have to move to the States! I need more snow…

Invest in a North Face fleece. It’s the Seattle uniform.

Well now, it’s only just 13 Celcius here in Winnipeg, MB and it’s been raining for the last two days :) If you’re lucky though it won’t get nice and warm on you for like two days and the go straight back to freezing-ass-cold again like it does up here. Of course there’s always the option of writing NCIS Porn, or SGA Porn…or just porn…that’ll keep you warm for a little.

It’s 64F in Delta right now. 61F At Vancouver Airport. Might bit below normal for this time of year, but we need it cool to stave off the flooding we’re about to get. Snow packs are at record levels, so you may see bits on how BC is flooding soon.

Dontcha just LOVE Craftsman homes? I adore them. Didjya get my email? Let me know.

Feel free to stab me, I live in Miami. I have to turn on the air conditioner here to survive.

It doesn’t usually warm up in Seattle until July. It’s like this all spring, hot and sunny for a couple of days then right back to cold and wet. Eventually, the hot days outnumber the cold days. By then, it’s August and it’s about time to slip back into fall.

    Welcome to the Northwest! :>

Don’t worry, you’ll acclimate. I live over here on the coast (Ocean Shores, WA) and it’s to the point now that I complain about it being way too hot if the temperature goes over 75°F.

Also, if you’re missing open spaces, try heading out to Discovery Park over in the Magnolia district. Beautiful place to go walking and the visitor’s center is pretty neat. They will be having Blackberry Days later in the summer, where they serve all kinds of goodies made from blackberries.

If you want to go to an excellent brew pub, try the Jolly Roger on Leary Way over in Ballard. Excellent food and the same goes for the beers and ales. If you’re in the mood for Thai or Indonesian food, Pandasia on Dravus in the Magnolia district is great! And if you haven’t hit the Pike Place Public Market, GO! Market Spice Tea Company and Tenzing Momo are worth it, all on their own, not to mention the flower market. Same goes for the International District and the Uwajimaya store. Oh, and the waterfront down on Alaskan Way.

Sorry for the comment spam, but the Seattle area is choc full of all sorts of wonderful places. Shoot me an email at sulien77@livejournal.com if you want more suggestions/recommendations.

Does North Carolina not get cold during the winter? I know I have two separate hoodies from CMU, both are nice and thick. I love college sweatshirts. :>

I’M TOTALLY SERIOUS THOUGH. :O I would send, really I would! Would you like a hoodie? I will totally buy you a CMU one and send it your way!

  15. summertea.livejournal.com Says:

PS - Uh. If one were to hypothetically send you a present, how would one go about doing so? And hypothetically, would you want a lined or unlined notebook of a certain type you alluded to wanting months ago? *twiddles thumbs*

  16. pru Says:

Uh. You would have to email me for my address? And have I ever NOT wanted something? Other than Herpes?
