[ncis/sga] Highly Classified and Very Hush Hush

Title: Highly Classified and very Hush Hush
Rating: PG
Summary: “Damn the man,” DiNozzo whispers.

SGA has Marines — NCIS polices Marines. You didn’t honestly think I wouldn’t eventually find some way to make the two plots hold hands and fake it, did you? Happy reading!

I haven’t read it but I plan to, I just had to tell you that I’ve been totally waiting since you got into NCIS, for you to do an SGA/NCIS crossover :)

For a split second, I thought you’d developed a mute button for Rodney McKay, and thought “the entire Lantean science division will be her bitch FOR ALL TIME,” then I realized Rodney brought something to make a Cone of Silence so he could YELL AT THEM WITH NO WAITING, and I really can’t decide which one is better, so wow.

I will reading anything and everything you post in this or any other story that crosses over NCIS and any form of Stargate.

    This was so great.

I have absolutely loved hearing about your adventures in NCIS and your shock and bemusement at how overtly slashy and kind of kinky it is because they completely mirror my own. I said, when I discovered it:

“NCIS has been an unlooked for pleasure and delight. It is, essentially, a police procedural with a very engaging team of characters.

The writers have obviously worked hard (perhaps, at times, almost too hard) to make their team members individual, quirky and likeable and are not averse to catering to the slash contingent either, in fact I almost feel I’m being pandering to and, at times, have been left staring at the screen agog, unable to believe the shout-outs to slashers most of which centre around Tony (tall, good-looking, shallow, insecure, hero-worshipping and afflicted with a daddy-complex). It’s so rich in the slash, I hesitate to say it, but I sometimes wonder if they’re not over-egging the pudding.

The cast have great chemistry and cast and characters appear to be having great fun with their tongues firmly in cheek (if not in their own cheeks, in or between someone else’s) and I think this is the lynch-pin around which its appeal for me is based – I get the impression that the characters and actors enjoy their jobs and, perhaps, I’m trying to live vicariously (there are RL reasons I am counting my blessings here).

Coincidental with its arrival on terrestrial here, Crackvan featured it and so I’ve been introduced to some fanfic but there doesn’t seem to be much good stuff out there – is that, paradoxically, because it’s already so slashy on its own?”

You’ve obviously already discovered Gigi Sinclair and the TwoWeevils who are the best writers I’ve found in the fandom but I will be interested to see if you discover some new gems.

By the way I loved your NCIS story last week. I thought it was hugely realistic that Tony would recognize quite how fixated he was (especially after his performance in the episode where he was suspected of murdering the leg - he seems to be intriguingly self-aware for an ostensibly shallow, vain popsy of a guy) and, also, wonder quite how much Gibbs pandered to him/manipulated him. Very interesting and a little bit creepy.

Ooo–fascinating! I totally agree with you on all points re: the character relationships on NCIS, they’re totally having way too much fun on that set. Plus, there’s a dangerous amount of chemistry they’re working with between characters, I usually find an OTP and stick to it but I’ve already rewatched “Under Covers” like eight times because it was so hot and I kind of hope Ziva and Tony DO bang like rich kids rolling on E–don’t even get me started on how I wish that McGee would just get over himself and admit he’s sort of closeted and has an angry 7th grade mancrush on Tony. WORST OF ALL naturally is totally the massively hot and similarly massively creepy Gibbs/DiNozzo thing.

I think Tony’s completely aware of how overinvested he is in Gibbs. To a degree, I think he’s comfortable taking a passive role. If you kind of look at his history–comes from money, got cut off at 12, military academies, frat brother, bouncing around–it’s all risks and I guess there’s some sort of security in Gibbs’ somewhat dubious affections. Mostly though? I think one day somebody should really call Gibbs on the fact that he’s a DICK and that Tony needs more than the shallow comfort of a slap to the head. …Uh, maybe I’m overprotective.

So, I put my prior comment…somewhere. OOps! I guess I should be smarter then the technology. :P

Anywho, this is HILARIOUS! And totally deserves a sequel. :P Thanks!
